STOP PRESS!. Saturday 29th May, Ashford Car Park. 10:15am. Usual spin with a stop in Laragh. All welcome. Hope to see you there.  John

Last month we started running easy tours , along a route that started at Ashford and headed to Laragh via the Vale of Clara.  So far a number of people have come on the spins. All are welcome. You don’t need a road bike, a mountain bike is fine. You do need a helmet.

All welcome, particularly any underage mountain bikers or their parents. You do not need to be a club member to come along first time. Just show up. If you like it, join up and come again. Any experienced club members who want to join us are also more than welcome. Its an enjoyable social spin with a coffee stop along the way.

Important notice re Discussion Forum

Posted in Uncategorized on December 10th, 2009 by JohnL – Be the first to comment

As you know the discussion forum has been activated for membership. If you have any interest at all in joining this forum (and I suggest that you do so), I am requesting that you register for the forum in the next week. After that time, you will only be able to register by contacting me in advance by e-mail.

My intention, when activating the forum, was that it should be open to everyone to join. That is still my intention.
However, already, three accounts have been set up from Russian domains that I have had to delete. Such domains typically host a lot of spammers and hackers and I will delete all Russian and similiar domains that appear.
So I am giving all club members another week to register on the forum, after which I will lock it down. You will then only be able to register in a more cumbersome manner with a delay.
You may, of course, choose not to register, in which case you can still read all the entries in the forum, but you will not be able to post.

2009 AGM

Posted in Uncategorized on November 27th, 2009 by Admin – Be the first to comment

There was a good attendance at the 2009 AGM. We moved through the officer reports and prior year mnutes quickly as they had been sent to members before the meeting. This allowed ample time to get members inputs into the running of the club and the committee appreciates all the feedback received.

The committee for 2009 is as follows:
Chairman John O’Sullivan, Secretary Mark McGarry, Treasurer Claire Irwin, Touring Paul Murray, MTB Linda Haug, Racing Joanne O’Shea, Social Stephen Healy, Coaching Aidan Ryan and Dave Peelo.
