What a great day………so many smiling faces. Tired, challenged, slightly apprehensive faces but happy faces…………Mick would love all of it: the sunshine, the adventure, the hawthorn in full blossom, the tea and scones (with jam), cheese and ham sambos, fruit cake, sweet pepper sambos!!, more bananas than a shady republic could eat or produce………..well done all. Fallen comrade : Get better soon Dermot and only take shallow breaths………….no more pot-holing please ( potholing refers to the act of exploring potholes)………really Dermot what was so interesting about that particular pothole???
……………………steady on………..language, please! Oh by the way I have your jerseys ……….can ye do a bit of thread work?………..just asking

If you can spare any time to help on Sunday, we would love to hear from you. The event looks like it will be huge, judging from the enquiries we are getting. If you can help, please step forward and contact Paul Murray, Paul O'Donoghue, Aidan Ryan or yours truly. Thanks
John O'Sullivan

Hi all,
This is a begging letter and as I don't often beg, you know this is serious. You see, your club needs you to help run this event. A core group have always put their hand up to run this event but this year we will need more help as we expect a greater number of entrants. We absolutely cannot run this event to the required standard without more members and friends of the club giving of their time on the day. So, please contact any committee member or better yet post up a reply to this post and volunteer to help on the day. This event is special, it's about who we are and what we stand for as a sporting club. If you can assist us in any capacity (tea-coffee/ sandwich maker/ sign-on/feed-stop etc) on 30th May we will be delighted to have you on-board, even if you can do half a day.
Kindest regards, Paul
